On July 2018, Google Chrome is marking all non-HTTPS sites as “not secure”

As stated by Akamai in their article, the days of clear-text HTTP, the original but insecure foundation for data communication over the web, are numbered. HTTP sites are already ranking lower in Google search results, and this new change means the HTTP sites will 100% be a thing of the past. KrebsOnSecurity recently analysed a new threat regarding impostor domains. In short, for example this domain: https://www.са.com/ when entered in your browser will not actually lead you to the original CA Technologies website. The reason behind this is that it has been written in punycode, or in translation – in Cyrillic lettering to impose as something it is in fact – not. It was registered by Alex Holden of Hold Security Inc. as a warning to everyone out there to be able to check if someone is using this against their websites.

GoCache, an upcoming CDN based Brazil startup which is focused primarily on small and medium sized businesses has been picking up some attention recently with a current list of 200+ customers and 5,000+ websites on their platform. GoCache is specifically targeting businesses in Brazil who haven’t yet adopted a CDN and apparently they’re currently getting a lot of customers from AWS being that AWS is providing educations about the benefits of website performance while GoCache can cater better to the clients needs since they’re local.
