LeaseWeb launches fast, fixed-price VMware-based private cloud in Asia
LeaseWeb, the provider of web hosting and Content Delivery Networks, announced the availability of vCloud, its VMware-based private cloud environment, from its data center in Singapore. Previously, the vCloud was only launched in Netherlands in March 2015 and now it will also be available to its Asia customers. The vCloud offering includes various features, such as extensive GUI, fault-tolerant design, load balancer and firewall support. The offering is powered by full SSD storage and supports snapshot management to enable reverting back to previous stages as well as template cloning and management. This solution also comes with an extremely extensive API and support for advanced networking features like virtual networking to meet private cloud needs of various customers.

Internap’s MIRO Controller helps in optimizing video streaming for Tulix Systems

CloudFlare adds Data Centers in Taiwan, Ukraine and Thailand
CloudFlare, the provider of Content Acceleration and Web Security Companies, announced that the Company had just added its 77th, 78th and 79th data center facilities at Taipei, Taiwan, Kiev, Ukraine and Bangkok, Thailand, respectively, as part of its effort to further expand its global network – in order to optimize content, provide DDoS mitigation and scrubbing services through redundancy. CloudFlare has stated that all these 3 data centers would reduce load on its existing facilities at Hong Kong, Frankfurt and Singapore/Kuala Lumpur. The introduction of these 3 new data centers will increase performance for customers in new areas by localizing content further, and is expected to improve overall network performance on those larger centers.

Verizon Enterprise Solutions to launch new cloud backup service powered by Actifio
Verizon, the provider of broadband and telecommunications, has joined forces with Actifio, a privately held information technology firm, to launch a new cloud backup service using the copy data virtualization leader’s technology platform. The service will support customers using virtualized infrastructures – including a combination of colocation, hosting, off-premises servers and other public clouds – to enable a unified hybrid cloud environment where data is easy to manage, access and protect. The copy data virtualization platform will enable Verizon enterprise customers to embrace hybrid cloud, accelerate application development and improve business resiliency. This offering allows for self-serve instant access to data while enhancing data control, adding business value by allowing higher quality applications to be developed faster, as well as protect data across the full range of conventional protection use cases.

Hibernia Networks announces Protected Wavelength Service across the Atlantic
